This ledger is the closeout target for work spawned from docs/agents/service-agent-next-slice-queue.json. It is intentionally separate from docs/agents/service-agent-closeout-ledger.json, which preserves the accepted first-slice handoff for each service row.

Rules

• Use the exact nextTaskId from the next-slice queue.
• Keep the first accepted handoff as acceptedFirstHandoff; do not overwrite it with the next-slice handoff.
• A next-slice row stays next-slice-handoff-required-...-not-complete until the handoff exists at requiredHandoffPath.
• The accepted next-slice handoff must include docs read, legacy evidence read, files changed, behavior implemented or explicit none, focused tests, workflowVerification, requiredVerification, route/default state, rollback notes, and evidence for every requiredEvidence item.
• Default route promotion still requires route/browser/runtime proof and rollback evidence. This ledger does not approve promotion.
• SVC-003 and SVC-004 remain cutover-gated until the production-like IAM/Profile proof bundle and offline review artifact pass.
• RET-USER remains readiness-only until SVC-003 and SVC-004 close their default proof gates; no new product work belongs in services/user-service. Its future handoff must include IAM/Profile parity evidence, a route inventory, runtime removal plan, and rollback plan before any retirement change. Required handoff path: docs/agents/handoffs/RET-USER-retirement-readiness-proof.md.

SVC-004 now has an accepted next-slice Profile default-route proof handoff, but remains cutover-gated. SVC-005 now has an accepted next-slice IAM membership and school sync proof handoff. SVC-006 now has an accepted next-slice classroom public route guard proof handoff. SVC-007 now has an accepted next-slice student course route proof handoff. Acceptance Pattern

When a next-slice worker returns, the orchestrator must:

1. Verify the handoff follows docs/agents/agent-handoff-format.md.
2. Confirm Task ID matches the row's nextTaskId.
3. Confirm the handoff path matches requiredHandoffPath.
4. Confirm every workflowVerification and requiredVerification command is represented with output.
5. Confirm route/default state and rollback notes are explicit.
6. Update this ledger, not the first-slice closeout ledger, with the accepted next-slice handoff.
7. Run make test-service-agent-next-slice-closeout.

Completion Boundary

This ledger still reports active-not-complete. A future accepted next-slice handoff proves only one more bounded proof-gate slice. Goal completion still requires closing the IAM/Profile production-like default cutover proof, route/browser rollback evidence, public route promotion gates, and RET-USER retirement criteria.
